Liverpool

Spend some time in and around the city of Liverpool, with its fascinating maritime and social history and of course, its famous sons, The Beatles.

With our local guide we will see the homes where John Lennon and Paul McCartney grew up, several sites that they wrote about in their songs, the reconstruction of the original Cavern Club and The Beatles Story, the main visitor centre in the city.

There were of course other famous 60’s groups such as Gerry and the Pacemakers who sung about the Ferry Cross the Mersey so we also take a trip on a Mersey Ferry. Our hotel for the weekend is the Holiday Inn at Runcorn which has a
swimming pool with jacuzzi, sauna and steamroom, there is no evening entertainment.
